ベトナム農業農村開発省によると、2月はエビやパンガシウス、木材・木製品、ゴム、コーヒー、米といった多くの主要農林水産物の輸出収入が急落した。

また、胡椒は7.4%、魚は64.1%、エビは54.9%、木材と木製品は34.8%減少した。
2月の農産物の輸出額は前年同月比5.7%増・前月比18.1%増となる34億ドル(約4635億840万円)相当であったが、林業・水産物の輸出はそれぞれ10.7%、13.1%の減少を記録している。
一方で、主要な農産物・畜産物の輸出高はそれぞれ25.9%増の17億9000万ドル(約2441億588万円)、46.5%増の2900万ドル(約39億5479万円)となり、この傾向に逆行する結果となった。
同省によると、多くの農林水産物の輸出収入減少は、世界的な不確実性や経済競争、地政学的問題、軍事紛争などが農産物の需要や価格の低下を招いたためである。
ベトナム最大の農林水産物輸出市場は中国であり、今年の最初の2ヶ月間で輸出収入は12億7000万ドル(約1731億8990万円)に上った。
次いでアメリカが11億9000万ドル(約1622億8030万円)で2位となっている。
同省は輸出市場の拡大強化や障害の排除、国内消費と輸出を促進し、中国・南寧と雲南の税関当局と連携して貿易協力を推進する計画である。
ベトナム水産加工輸出協会(VASEP)によると、今年は世界経済が不況に入ることが予測されており、水産部門が今年最初の数ヶ月で輸出市場のブレークスルーを期待することは困難であるという。
